The III Forum of Southern Ukraine “Government and Community: A Joint Path from Humanitarian Response to Recovery and Development” was held in Kyiv on September 30 – October 1. organized by UNDP in Ukraine with the support of the Government of Denmark.

Among the participants and speakers are representatives of the authorities, international organizations, and public initiatives. In particular:

🔹 Ruslan Movchan, First Deputy Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia OVA

🔹 Dmytro Butriy, First Deputy Head of the Kherson OVA

🔹 Matthias Schmale, UN Coordinator in Ukraine

🔹 Frederica Dispenza, Community Safety and Social Cohesion Specialist, UNDP

🔹 Kristina Mikulova, Head of the EIB Regional Hub for Eastern Europe

🔹 Representatives of the Embassies of Denmark and the Kingdom of the Netherlands

For the Zaporizhzhia Heart Foundation, participation in the forum was a great opportunity:

🤝 establish new partnerships and horizontal connections;

💡 get ideas for community development and safety;

🏋️‍♂️ to agree on the development of adaptive sports for veterans and their family members, including persons with disabilities;

📚 develop areas of retraining and training programs for our target audience;

🛡️ continue to advocate for the rights of veterans and their families.

Special thanks for the invitation and support to Olga Leontieva, leader of the network of working groups on public safety and restoration of the Zaporizhzhia region.

We believe that sustainable development and recovery are shaped by the cooperation of authorities, communities and partners. We thank UNDP in Ukraine and the Government of Denmark for the organization, opportunities and inspiration!

Together we are stronger. 💙💛
