Yesterday, a pickleball master class and a presentation of this modern sport, which combines the dynamics of tennis, table tennis, and badminton, took place in Zaporizhia.

The event was organized by the Zaporizhzhia Heart Charity Foundation and the Pryazovsky Village Council together with the All-Ukrainian Pickleball Federation (UPF) with the support of the Department for Veteran Policy and the Main Directorate of the National Police in Zaporizhzhia region.

The assistant chief of the Zaporizhia Oblast Main Police Department for veteran policy, Vyacheslav Loschenko, took an active part in the event, joining the game with veterans - colleagues who have served and defended Ukraine.

🎾 Pickleball is an adaptive game that is accessible to absolutely everyone, regardless of age or physical ability (including people with prosthetic limbs or wheelchairs). It develops coordination, team spirit, motivation and self-confidence.

The participants were happy to test the new game, gain basic skills and a boost of positivity. Because playing together is not just training, it is a step towards recovery, faith, and a friendly community.

💬 "Pickleball is not just about sports. It's about unity and mutual support. Veterans, youth, and community activists play on the same court. This is a real team of Ukraine," the organizers noted.

📍 And we in the Zaporizhia region are not stopping! Ahead is the development of pickleball, new meetings, venues, training, and a dream: for our athletes to represent Zaporizhia and Ukraine on the international stage.
