On February 5, the first meeting of the Community Engagement Working Group in 2026 took place, during which participants focused on strategic priorities for recovery and community cohesion in the coming years.

🔹 During the meeting, Oleksiy Skvortsov presented Area-Based Recovery (ABR) — UNDP's approach to area-based recovery, based on four key pillars:

• Reconstruction — reconstruction

• Returns — return

• Resilience

• Reform — reforms

🔹 The work of the NGO "ECOSENSE" was also presented - "Resilience Practices of Southeastern Regions of Ukraine", which became the basis for further discussion of local solutions and approaches to recovery.

🤝 Separately, the reformatting of the work of the Working Group, to which our organization also joins, was announced. This is fundamentally important for us, because we represent the interests of veterans and youth — key groups without which sustainable development and real changes are impossible. We have practical experience, a deep understanding of the needs of target audiences, and a willingness to be active participants in the recovery processes, not outside observers.

➡️ Following the meeting, strategic areas of work, approaches to partnership interaction were outlined, and an action plan was formed for the first quarter of 2026.

Let's keep working. Together - towards sustainable solutions and strong communities 💪
