During the meeting, issues important for protecting veterans' rights, developing veterans' policy at the district level, and strengthening support for the families of fallen Heroes were discussed. In particular, the procedure for calculating pensions for veterans as of March 31, 2026, current mechanisms of interaction, and further steps for more understandable and accessible support were discussed.

It is important for us that such meetings are not a formality, but a space for advocacy for veterans' rights, professional dialogue, and joint development of solutions.

During the meeting, the honorary award "Women's Heart" was awarded to a member of the Council of Women of Fallen Heroes, the mother of a fallen Defender. This is a distinction of strength, dignity, and great inner support that women who have gone through loss carry.

The team of the Zaporizhzhia Heart Foundation also presented our current programs and plans for the spring-summer season of 2026 - areas of support for veterans, families, children, and initiatives that help return to life through community, recovery, and inclusion.

We continue to work to ensure that support for veterans and families is accessible, understandable, and effective.
