The President of the Zaporizhzhia Heart Foundation, Anton Orlov, became a participant in the prestigious national program "Veteran Leadership", which is implemented by the HONEST Movement with the support of IREX and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine.
This program brings together veterans, their families, representatives of veteran organizations, and civil society workers from all over Ukraine to develop leadership, management capacity, effective communications, and strengthen the participation of the veteran community in public life.
The second module of the program, dedicated to the topic "State and Law" - one of the key stages of training - was recently completed. Participants worked on the following topics:
prevention of corruption;
elections and the electoral process;
fundamental rights and veterans' legislation;
organization of state power and distribution of powers;
practice of the legislative process in Ukraine.
The participation of our president is of great importance:
It strengthens the authority of Zaporizhzhia Heart as an organization that not only provides assistance, but also acts strategically, at the level of change.
The acquired knowledge will allow us to more effectively represent the interests of veterans and their families, form a supportive environment, and create a lasting impact in communities.
This is another step towards ensuring that the voice of veterans is heard at the decision-making level, and not just remains a necessity.
Anton Orlov notes:
"It is important to me that the experience of veterans becomes the basis for change. This program is about responsible leadership, mutual support, and faith in Ukraine."
